The connection center is our way of describing everything available to you and your family to bridge you to God and to others.

Ways to Dive In

There are a few ways to learn more about The Bridge before deciding to join.  We offer orientation classes every six weeks and a membership class once per quarter.  Review the sections below for more information about these educational series.

Orientation

During orientation, we dig in to understand what it means to SOAR and discuss the vision for The Bridge Church.  The classes offer an open environment for attenders to ask questions. Two consecutive classes are held Sunday mornings during first service every six weeks.

Orientation is a pre-requisite to becoming a Family Member of The Bridge Church.  When you’re ready to start, complete the form using the button below to join the next Orientation Class.

Membership

What does it mean to be a Family Member at The Bridge Church?  We believe it starts with you wanting to SOAR.

If you have any questions or would prefer to talk with someone in person about Family Membership, please contact us at info@thebridgechurch.org.

Baptism

baptism_at_the_bridge

The idea of baptism comes from an old Greek word that meant “dip.” People would take a piece of cloth and “baptize” it in dye. It would go into the dye one color and come out a different color.

Christians practice baptism in water, not dye, and the water does not make you change color! Instead, being dipped under water represents the story of your salvation. You began as a sinner and faced the judgment of God, but through the death of Jesus, you have been given new life and are a new creation. Symbolically, the old you enters the water, and the new you rises.

The water doesn’t change you—Jesus did that. The water is how we obey the command Jesus gave us, celebrate our new identity in Jesus, and affirm our membership in the community of Christ.

For The Bridge Church, baptism and membership are not tied to one another.  While membership class affirms your membership in the local body (The Bridge), baptism connects you to the worldwide body of Christ.
